Media accreditation now open for the 7th WorldSkills Russia National Competition

The Organizing Committee of the 7th WorldSkills Russia National Competition announces the start of media accreditation process for the most large-scale skills competition in Russia. The event will be held from May 20 to May 24 in Kazan at the Kazan Expo International Exhibition Center.

Online accreditation for the journalists is open until May 5, 2019. Media representatives not registered in the system will not be able to access the Media Center at the competition venue.

The competition in Kazan will become not only the venue for the best representatives of skilled jobs in all regions of Russia, but also a rehearsal for the main international event of 2019 in Russia – WorldSkills Kazan 2019 since its held at the same venue. The 45th WorldSkills Competition 2019 will be held in Kazan between August 22-27, 2019. About 1500 competitors from 69 countries will compete in 56 skills.

In addition, it will be the first time that professionals of all age categories will be brought to a single competition venue. Kazan will welcome adult specialists – competitors over 50 years old participating at the “Skills of the Wise”, as well as the youngest professionals of Russia – competitors of WorldSkills Russia Juniors, schoolchildren from 12 to 16 years old.

In total, 93 skills are included in the main programme of the competition, and 1513 competitors will compete for the victory. Foreign competitors will perform along with the Russian national team members. About 150 people from the following countries will compare their skills with the training level of the Russian competitors: Australia, Austria, Brazil, China, France, Germany, Great Britain,Hungary,India,Italy,Japan,Kazakhstan,Liechtenstein,Mongolia,Morocco,Norway,Poland,Singapore,South Korea, Switzerland, Taiwan, Vietnam.

The Conference Programme of the 7th WorldSkills Russia National Competition includes more than 30 thematic sessions with the participation of representatives of government bodies, leading Russian companies and educational institutions, as well as leaders of the HR unit. The plenary session will be devoted to the discussion of fundamentally new approaches to the system of personnel training, which would correspond to the constantly changing demands of the labor market. This will be the main topic of the Conference Programme of the WorldSkills Competition Kazan 2019. The most interesting developments and non-standard approaches in the field of professional training will be presented to the world community.
