Dear friends,

I am pleased to welcome the Competitors, Experts, Partners and Guests of the WorldSkills Russia National Competition!
Kazan is hosting the WorldSkills Russia National Competition for the third time and each time the competitions are held at the highest level possible, leaving bright and unique impression on every visitor. This year both adult and young competitors will fight for their medals in the land of Tatarstan. Within the framework of the 7th WorldSkills Russia National Competition, for the first time we will hold competitions for professionals aged above 55. Besides, we included the Junior Skills, where students aged 12-16 years old will compete along with adults. Visitors will get an opportunity to observe the work of today’s most highly demanded professionals on the labor market, and get to know the future skills. In total, over 1,600 competitors and 1,500 experts will meet at the WorldSkills Russia National Competition. Besides, a Conference Programme will be organised within the framework of the event, during which the best training practices will be presented.

I sincerely thank the leadership of the Republic of Tatarstan, and personally the President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minihanov, as well as all our Partners. Without your hard work, it would have been impossible to hold this event.

Congratulations to everyone on the opening of the Competition! I am convinced that this event will become a real celebration for those who appreciate professionalism. I wish the competitors new victories and discoveries. The best masters of Russia and the audience will receive invaluable experience during these few days. Moreover, it will undoubtedly help the development of each competitor and our country as a whole.
