03.05.2017 / 37 competitors from North Caucasus will participate at the fifth WorldSkills Russia National Competition 2017

37 students of TVET colleges of the North Caucasian Federal District shall represent their regions at the fifth WorldSkills Russia National Competition. The competition will be attended by 13 competitors from Stavropol Region, 10 competitors from Dagestan, 10 competitors from North Ossetia, 3 competitors from Kabardino-Balkaria and one from Ingushetia.

In total, 74 people including Experts and Team leaders will arrive in Krasnodar from North Caucasian Federal District to compete in such skills as Rescue Service, Veterinary, Automobile Technology, Electronics, Web Design, Jewelry, Floristry, Cooking and others.

The students have reached the final according to the results of the semifinals where winners of the regional competitions took part. The winners and medalists of the fifth WorldSkills Russia National Competition will be recommended to the WorldSkills Russia extended National team that represents the country at international competitions. 

WorldSkills Russia National Competition is the largest skills competition according to WorldSkills Standardsheld in Russia among students of TVET colleges aged 16 - 20, as well as schoolchildren aged 10 – 17, encouraging better career guidance for young people and introducing best international practices into the education system. In 2017, the fifth WorldSkills Russia National Competition will take place in Krasnodar from May 15 to 19, where 1200 Russian and foreign students of vocational schools and colleges will compete in 109 skills.  The competition will take place at the Exhibition Congress Complex “Expograd Yug” with a total area of 56400sq.m.
